Description

Time Fast D8

Where Swiss Watchmaking Meets 1950s Motorsport

The Time Fast D8 by L’Epée 1839 is where high-speed nostalgia meets fine Swiss horology. This blue-and-white-striped edition pays tribute to the legendary racing liveries of the 1950s, wrapped in a streamlined aluminum body that echoes the glory days of open-wheel racing.

Designed by Georg Foster in collaboration with ECAL, this kinetic sculpture is a mechanical clock disguised as a classic single-seater race car. Underneath its sleek exterior lies a hand-assembled movement with an 8-day power reserve engineered entirely in-house by L’Epée 1839. The attention to detail is uncompromising: a blown glass dome simulates a driver’s helmet, the number-style side panel shows the time, and the steering wheel is used to set it.

In a playful nod to childhood, the car is “fueled” by rolling it backward to wind the clock just like a vintage pull-back toy. With only 100 pieces produced per color, this blue and white edition is a true collector’s piece for lovers of craftsmanship, design, and motorsport heritage.
